The Centre

DHAMMA PUBBOTTARA VIPASSANA MEDITATION CENTRE is situated at Kamalanagar, Lawngtlai District, Mizoram. It is managed by the Mizoram Vipassana Meditation Centre Trust and it is the sole meditation centre in Mizoram.

Facilities at the centre

• One male dormitory with capacity for 20 persons.
• The male dormitory has no attached toilets.
• Male area has four Indian and one western toilets.
• There are two female dormitories each having capacity for 14 and 12 persons.
• Each dorm has one attached bath cum toilet (one western and one Indian).
• There are 4 bath cum toilets close to the dorms all of which are Indian.
• Usually individual carry their own bedding. But, for meditators coming from far, outside the state, the management make arrangement.
• During rainy season individuals are required to carry umbrella or rain coat.
• Individuals are advised to bring torch light.
